Dave Sensei has been practicing Shotokan Karate for over 40 years and is one of the original founders of the Lahaina Dojo. Dave is a Nidan (second-degree black belt) and is a patient instructor who is eager to pass his extensive knowledge to the students.

Karate is a family affair for Dave. His wife Elizabeth Quayle is also a member of the dojo, just like his daughter Gina, son-in-law Clint, and stepson Andy.
